The mission of Black Girls RUN! is to encourage African-American women to make fitness and healthy living a priority. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 80% of African-American women are overweight. BGR! wants to create a movement to lower that percentage and subsequently, lower the number of women with chronic diseases associated with an unhealthy diet and sedentary lifestyle.

Research tells us that running on a regular basis not only benefits individuals from a physical standpoint but also increase mental sharpness. Studies show that running on a regular basis helps to boost your confidence, relieves stress and eliminates depression.

The Buckeye Striders is a group of adult athletes who walk for fun, fitness and competition. We meet every Saturday morning in Central Ohio for group walks and have breakfast together after. Sometimes small groups will meet midweek for extra training.

Columbus Moms RUN This Town (MRTT) is a running group for women of all ages and abilities. Cbus MRTT is a fun club for moms in Central Ohio (and really ANY woman — not just moms) to get together, ask questions, get advice, run/walk/jog and find running buddies. We hope to provide an online community built of women who will help answer running questions, encourage each other, train with each other and share their personal running experiences.

With locations in both Columbus and Baltimore, CERC is just a short drive from many areas in Franklin and Fairfield counties. Supported by Second Sole in Gahanna and OSU Sports Medicine, CERC members are currently training for a variety of races, including the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon. Whether you are looking to get started or to set that new PR, CERC provides you the tools you need in a fun, supportive environment!

Grove City Community Running and Walking Club was founded in 2014 by a group of individuals who recognized the need for an all-inclusive running group within the Grove City community. The club has grown from 7-10 dedicated members to roughly 25-30 active members at any given time. This group focuses on friendship, encouragement and of course running and walking. We have members who have competed in ultra-marathons, trail races, marathons, half marathons as well as 5 and 10Ks

Team Red, White, and Blue’s (RWB) mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through athletic and social activities. We have 1200 members in Columbus alone and are inclusive of active duty, veterans, and civilians who desire to genuinely connect and engage with each other. We enrich lives through connecting people for this common purpose and in so doing, better our own physical and mental health. Nationally, we have over 130,000 members and 210 chapters. You can always find us wearing our red shirts with our logo or running with Old Glory. However, we do more than just run.
